My original simple page finally elicited some contact from Steve (Stephen) Heitmann.
He wrote me a (physical/paper) letter and threatened me with a lawsuit. A lawsuit for asking a simple question on a web page, "Why haven't you paid me back?".
Steve, do not threaten me with retribution for a valid debt you know you owe me. Man up, repair your karma, and pay your debts. Now, because you chose not to contact me and answer that simple question (and honor your debt), rather, to threaten me and to use veiled threats against a company (VPSLink folded rather easily) to quash the truth, even more information is out on the Internet.
Steve, aren't attorneys expensive these days ? Wouldn't it be less expensive to simply pay the debt you owe me ? And, do you *really* intend to go to court and perjure yourself by saying you do not owe me the money ?
Here are emails with VPSLink (the company from whom I originally leased a VM and hosted this information) with his complaint about the original page (and my emails with VPSLink).
1) Here is the original email to me from VPSLink.
2) Here is the attachment.
3) Here is my response to VPSLink.
4) Here is the next response from VPSLink. Note that the attachment was the same as the first one, not from the alleged attorney, but from Steve Heitmann himself (or so it is signed).
5) Here is my next response to VPSLink.
And thus it goes ...
6) Here is VPSLink's response to that one.
7) Here is my response to them.
8) Here is VPSLink's (apparently final) demand.
9) Here is my response.
10) Here is my "original content removed" response. Note that what you are viewing is no longer associated with VPSLink services so the original content remains.
There is another email from Steve Stephen Heitmann complaining even after I removed the original content. VPSLink shut off the account after that. If I feel like taking more time with this I will cleanse the last emails (VPSLink's and mine also) of addresses and post them as well. And also scan in the paper letter and post it.
It is slightly humorous, in a sad sort of way. It would appear that you want to quash all this from the web, Steve. Rewrite history, as it were. I see you are getting active again after apparently "laying low" for a few years. Part of the sadness is that you know I loaned you the money and that you never paid it back, after committing to pay it back on numerous occassions. The humor is that now, even more information is coming out.
Had you been civil about this from the start and paid your debts, you (and whomever brought it all to your attention) would not be using your time reading this.
I imagine you will eventually get around to writing a letter to my current VM provider and try to force them to shut this down as well.
It would be easier, better, and less expensive to simply pay your debts.
